LAFARGEVILLE, NY – There was racing at Can-Am Speedway last weekend. Unfortunately, it was only between the raindrops chasing each other down the windowpane.
The two false-starts for the season has everyone itching to get back to racing, and Can-Am Speedway, located in LaFargeville, New York is ready to welcome back racers and fans.
The season points-opener will now take place Friday, May 14th at the “Nasty Track of the North”, with the night’s events sponsored by VP Racing Fuels. Number One Speed of Watertown, NY is Can-Am Speedway’s exclusive supplier of VP Racing Fuel.
The slate of divisions for the evening includes DIRTcar sanctioned Whitesboro Plow Shop 358 Modifieds, Bob Johnson Sportsman and FABCO Pro Stock features. A new, paid B-Main for the DIRTcar Sportsman has been added, thanks to sponsor Donath Motor Worx. The Marsha Gibbons TLC Real Estate, ThunderStock and Donath Motor Worx Limited Sportsman features complete the event’s lineup for the evening.
The first 200 guests through the door will receive a copy of Dirt Empire Magazine, the newest dirt-track-only national racing publication. Dirt Track Digest (DTD) returns for the 2021 racing season to offer an on-demand digital viewing option for fans who cannot attend the races in person.
Pit Gates open at 4pm with General Admission gates opening at 5pm. The drivers meeting will take place at 6:45pm sharp with Hot Laps to ensue at 7pm. Opening Ceremonies for the evening will kick off at 7:30pm with Heat Races to immediately follow.
